Admissions

Aberdeen Waldorf School welcomes applications for new pupils at any time. Our admissions policy is an ‘open’ one. You can read about this in more detail on the page Making An Application. you will probably want to be sure that the school and your child are right for each other. For that reason, we find it helps for you to make contact with the School at an early stage and explore what we do and who we are.

A visit to the school is a good starting point.  You can book onto one of our Open Mornings and learn about Waldorf Education and our School.  These Open Mornings are held each Friday from 9.30am during term time, however, if this day or time does not suit you, then an alternative arrangement can be made easily.  The morning starts with a talk and then there is a tour around the school together with an opportunity to see classes in action.  Plenty of time is allowed for discussion and to ask questions.  You can contact the School Secretary to arrange a visit on mail@aberdeenwaldorf.co.uk or 01224 868 366.

During the course of the year we have Open Days as well as fundraising and community activities, where you and your family will be most welcome. If you wish, we can help by talking with you informally about what life in the School is like. You can talk with administrators, teaching staff and other parents.

When you are ready, you can download an application form here, or request one from our admin staff. Once that is submitted it will be considered by our  College of Teachers, following which you will be invited to attend an interview, part with appropriate teaching staff, part (for financial purposes) with the School Administrator.

When your child is accepted we will inform you in writing and send you the relevant paperwork to complete and return to us.  Once all the paper work is returned to us, your child will be able to start at the school.
